Cal State San Bernardino’s monthlong celebration of Arab American History Month will culminate with a special event, "Uplifting Identities and Sharing Our History," on Thursday, May 2, from noon to 2 p.m. on the Santos Manuel Student Union patio. This will be a collaborative effort between the Arab American Heritage Month (AAHM) and Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Heritage Month committees, showcasing a unique joint initiative to foster understanding and solidarity among diverse communities on campus. This event is free and open to the public.

Featuring a student panel led by members of both affinity groups, the event will provide insightful discussions on the intersecting identities of panelists and how these identities have influenced their decisions to assume leadership roles on the CSUSB campus. It offers a platform for students to share their experiences, challenges, and triumphs, highlighting the importance of diverse representation in student leadership.

"Uplifting Identities and Sharing Our History" represents a significant opportunity for the CSUSB community to come together, celebrate diversity, and learn from the experiences of Arab American and APIDA students. By sharing their stories, the panelists aim to inspire others, foster a more inclusive campus environment, and highlight the importance of understanding and embracing multiple cultural identities.

CSUSB is committed to celebrating diversity and inclusivity through events like these, which enrich the campus experience for all.
